Register of Damage for Ukraine Announces Launch of Claims Category A3.2: Damage or Destruction of Non-Residential Immovable Property

The Register of Damage for Ukraine has officially launched a new category of claims for compensation for damage caused by the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine — Category A3.2: Damage or Destruction of Non-Residential Immovable Property.

This category is designed for property owners who have suffered damage or destruction to immovable properties used for purposes other than residential living. These include but are not limited to garages, parking spaces, office spaces, storage facilities and other non-residential real estate.

Eligible claimants may submit claims for either:

  • The value of destroyed property,
  • The cost of repairs/reconstruction for damaged property.

To submit a claim, property owners must provide proof of ownership, which is typically retrieved from the State Register of Property Rights, as well as relevant supporting materials regarding the circumstances of the damage and the extent of the harm, if such information is available to the claimant.

The launch of Category A3.2 is another step in fulfilling the Register’s mandate to document damage caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and is part of broader efforts to ensure just reparations for all those affected by the aggression.
